The Park District maintains the Barnes Preserve on donations. We receive a little funding from the county to operate the current park (Barnes Preserve) or future parks as grants do not normally include monies for operational use.

Purchase a Bench

We know how important park benches are when you are walking the trails, so we have collaborated with a local company that will construct heavy five-foot benches made from recycled milk jugs for a great price.
Engraving can be done on both back boards. The bench will be two-toned with the top being “weatherwood” and the legs “dark brown.” Examples of the bench can be seen to the left.
